Story - The first part of the development course you will learn the first phase is your story. understanding what story it is you want to tell. Without a story there is no script and there is no film. You will meet Skylark Visions Story consultant who will go through the important stages of how to map out a strong story before jumping to the script offering you clarity what you are about to make.
Script - Once your story step outline is done, it’s now time to move the story outline into a screen play. We will teach you the best ways and method to getting a script made, or hiring the best script/screenplay writer. Also sharing the knowledge with you how to protect your story and script IP and Copyrights.
Setting up your film - Every Film is a business, we will teach you how to set up your film, how to professionally allocate who owns what, and be ready before approaching for any investment. This makes you come across professional and well prepared.
Your pitch deck, we will teach you how to create a solid pitch deck (Film Presentation), that will make you stand out and increase your chances of getting your film successfully funded, and once you have that green-lit it all begins.
Budgeting how to budget your film and create a financial workflow that will allow you to keep track of your money throughout production, and how to use that in post production to apply for the governments film tax relief. we will also teach you from experience of unexpected costs which is very easy to miss, and what to be aware of.
Casting your film, how to cast your film or hire a casting director to choose your actors/actresses for the film.
Attaching your crew finding your team is important, you need to find the perfect match for your project and for everyone to work together smoothly and how to always be prepared.
Preparing - what you need to do to prepare for your production, Props, Location Scouting, Casting, Costumes, mood boards, logistics + More, Teaching you methods how to have all your corners covered.
Under standing the important things when you are close to shooting, example; Scheduling Filming, Call Sheets, Wardrobe fittings, Reece, Catering, Insurance, Rehearsals + more, you will learn a smooth process on how to be organised and prepared.
The Checkover, Checking over everything over making sure its all ready for Production days so you have no issues or problems and how to be prepared to solve your issues.
Setting up - teaching you a routine how to make sure your shoot is prepared to avoid delays and falling behind with production before you have even started.
